What is recorded here

This stone was moved from near the stone pair known as the 'Gossan Stones' (WI017-006----) near Scarr Mountain to its present location on the grounds of Glendalough House (see WI018-038---- for present location record). It consists of a coarse-grained granite block (0.59m x 0.52m; H 0.19m) with a bowl-shaped depression (0.30m x 0.275m; D 0.15m) (pers. comm. C. Corlett). Compiled by: Claire Breen Date of upload: 14 February 2013

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
