What is recorded here

This bullaun stone had been moved to a small picnic area at the side of the road in Roundwood village. It consists of a granite boulder (0.74m x 0.53m x 0.27m H) which is irregular in shape, except for the base which is quite rounded, and perhaps shaped. On top is a circular, bowl-shaped basin 0.39m x 0.38m and 0.18m deep. The stone is mortared onto a supporting granite pillar. The original location of this bullaun stone is unknown (pers. comm. C. Corlett). Compiled by: Paul Walsh Date of upload: 30 October 2012
