What is recorded here

Situated on a gentle NW-facing slope. An oval, partly artificial platform (dims. 27m NNW-SSE; 19.50m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2-2.3m; H 0.8m) along the perimeter from SW-NE and at the SE, a steep scarp (H 2m) marking the bank of a stream at the S, and a similar scarp dropping to marshy ground at the E. There is an external flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 4.7m; D 2m) and an outer bank (Wth 1.9m; H 1m) from SW-NE. No indication of an entrance or internal features. Another ringfort (WI015-060----) lies 10m to the SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
