What is recorded here

Situated at a break in a marked SW-facing slope at the centre of Dunboyke graveyard (WI015-011002-). A nave (int. dims. 9.9m x 5.2m) and chancel (int. dims. 5.3m x 3m) church, of two-period construction. The chancel appears to be a small oratory to which the nave was later added. The walls are of unmortared blocks and slabs (Wth 1.4m; average H 1m). The door (Wth uncertain) was at the W end. The walls of the nave (Wth 0.83m; H 1-1.15m) abut onto the chancel; at the SE angle an internal buttress appears to block a gap which developed between the nave and chancel walls at this point. The S door, marked by a gap (Wth 1m), is towards the SW angle. There is no evidence for the location of windows. Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 19 December 2012
