Excavated in 2001 prior to the insertion of a Bord Gáis Éireann gas pipeline (Excavation Licence 01E0509). A spread of burnt stone and charcoal (3.3m x 2.2m; max. D 0.48m) was uncovered in a circular flat based depression (1.35m x 0.86m) which overlay boulder clay. A single post-hole (diam. 0.15m; D 0.25m) was identified beneath the mound and within the depression. (Ó Néill 2003, 414-5)
