What is recorded here

On low lying ground, referred to locally as a 'raheen' and described as a roughly rectangular area defined by a very wet moat (pers. comm. Chris Corlett). No visible trace of this at ground level. The granite upper stone of a disc quern was found here and is currently in private possession. (SMR file). Compiled by: Claire Breen Date of upload: 08 February 2013

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
