What is recorded here

Price (1945, 54). asserts that the 'stony pass' retained in the name 'Stony Pass Bridge' on the OS 6-inch map refers to a possibly prehistoric track which led across the mountains towards Naas. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 December 2008

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
