Situated on the NW edge of a slope in marshy ground. Raised oval area (dims. 70m E-W; 55m N-S) with a natural domed profile. The area is defined by a natural scarp which has been modified at the S and E. A possible fosse is visible on aerial photographs (GSIAP, N 354-5).
