What is recorded here

A spread of charcoal-stained clay with high concentrations of heat-cracked stone (12m by 3m; max. D 0.25m) was excavated here in 2001 as part of a monitoring programme on the N11 road improvement scheme (Excavation Licence 01E1076). A gully and a pit underlay the spread. The full extent of the monument was not excavated as part of it lies outside the road take. (Mossop 2003, 425) Compiled by: Claire Breen Date of upload: 23 January 2013
