Unlocated well in the townland of Kilcroney. Lynch (1994, 642) recorded that there is a holy well known as ‘St Croney’s Well’ in the townland of Kilcroney that is mentioned in the 1930s Irish Folklore Commission, Schools Manuscript Collection (IFC S 913: 36; IFC S 468: 69). In 1838 the Ordnance Survey Letters recorded that ‘about sixty yards east of the church (WI007-030----) is a small well covered with briars and thorns, supposed to be Saint Croney’s Well, but it retains no character for sanctity in the neighbourhood’ (Corlett and Medlycott 2000, 16).
