What is recorded here

Situated on a large area of flat land above a steep slope down to the River Liffey. A rectangular structure (ext. dims. 12.8m E-W; 6.6m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (max. H 0.6m). There is a shallow fosse (D 0.3m) at the western end. Entrances face each other at N and S. (Sullivan 1994) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
