Part of a complex of prehistoric sites on the lower western slopes of Lugnaguff (WI005-079----, WI005-081----, WI005-083----, WI005-110----, WI005-111----). Circular cairn (diam. 16m; H 0.45m) which covered four cists containing vases, cordoned urns and coarse pottery associated with cremation burials. Other finds include three faience beads, two bronze razors and domestic pottery. An associated cremation in a coarse pot in a pit was marked by a standing stone (WI005-111----) 15m to the N of the site. (Grogan 1990) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
