Westropp (1903, 373) suggests that the monastic buildings associated with the Cathedral (WA040-008002-) were across the road to the W, and that the foundations of houses were discovered there when a farmhouse was built. Westropp, T. J. (1903) Notes on the antiquities of Ardmore. JRSAI, 33, 353-80.
