What is recorded here

It was identified in testing (08E0968) during the development of a Waste Water Treatment facility an dfully excavated under the same licence. A truncated figure-of-eight kiln (dims. 3.66m x 1.38m; 0.27m) was recorded. No structural stones were present, but the charred remains of hazel as well as seeds of oats and wheat were recovered. A C14 date of cal. 1045-1218 AD was produced by a sample of oat seed. The fulacht fia (WA038-065001-) is c. 20m to the SE. (Bayley and O'mahony 2010) Bayley, D. and O'Mahony, C.
