Located on an E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 30m N-S; 28.8m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3-4.5m; int. H 0.6-1m; ext. H 1.4m), which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.4m) NW-NNE. There is an outer fosse (at S: Wth of top 9m' Wth of base 5.3m; D 0.2m) NW-SE, and the site is circumscribed by a stone-faced field bank (Wth 0.8m; ext. H 0.8m) SE-NW. The ntrance (Wth 3.5m) through the inner bank is at SE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
