What is recorded here

Located on a gentle SE-facing slope planted with a cereal crop. A church (WA037-027----) is depicted only on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a rectangular structure oriented E-W within a subrectangular enclosure (dims. c. 55m N-S; c. 30m E-W) defined by field banks. The church is not thought to be connected with St. Molua but to mean 'my Lua's church' (Power 1907, 95-6), and there is no record that the enclosure was used for burial. Nothing is visible at ground level. Power, Rev. P. (1907) Place names of the Decies. WAJ. 10, 14- ?, 88-134, 184-240, 263-310. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 06 January 2012.
