What is recorded here

Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30-35m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated in pasture on a gentle N-facing slope, it is not visible at ground level. Archaeological testing (01E0478) in the vicinity during 2001 (Tierney 2003) and during 2006 (06E0943) (Hackett 2009b) failed to produce any related material. Hackett, L. (2009b) Ballyriely.
