Situated on a broad NE-facing shoulder of a S-N spur of Kilwatermoy Mountain. There is a record of a souterrain N of Kilwatermoy church (WA033-004003-) which was open at the end of the 19th century and is located within the ecclesiastical enclosure (WA033-004001-) of the church (Power 1898a, 214).
