Identified from an aerial survey by Markus Casey who described this possible monument as one of two large rectangular headlands (see also WA032-046----) at right angles to one another on Ballyvoyle head. This westernmost promontory fort has a faint depression running across the neck of the headland suggesting that it was defended. The area consists of fertile pasture and tillage fields enclosed by stone walls. (Casey 2001)
