Located towards the top of an E-facing slope. Oval grass-covered area (dims. 55m NE-SW; 40m NW-SE) defined by an overgrown earth and stone bank (at SSW: Wth 9.4m; int. H 1.5m; ext. H 3.3m), with an outer fosse (Wth at base 2.75m; D 1.2m) ESE-SSW and NNW-ENE. The entrance (Wth 8.3m) at E is probably original but has been widened.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
