Marked as a subrectangular copse (dims. c 88m NE-SW; c. 88m NW-SE) integrated with N-S and E-W avenues of trees on the 1840 and 1927 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated at the crest of N and W-facing slopes. Subrectangular grass-covered area (dims. c. 90m NE-SW; c. 90m NW-SE) defined by field banks on all sides except the SW.
