What is recorded here

According to Smith (1746, 78-9) a house at Ballintaylor was built by Sir Richard Osborne in 1619, which was commemorated in an armorial stone with that date. It remains unlocated. Smith, C. (1746) The history of the town and county of Waterford. W. Wilson. Dublin. Date of upload/revision: 11th August, 2011. Compiled by: Michael Moore.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
