What is recorded here

According to Power (1898, 51) there had been a moat, that had long been removed but was remembered locally c. 1900, within c. 100m of the find-spot of a Late Bronze Age hoard of tools and weapons (WA030-040----). He suggests that it may have been a crannog, which is unlikely, but it remains unlocated. Power, Rev. P. (1898c) On a find of Bronze implements in Co. Waterford. WAJ 4, 47-53. Date of upload/revision: 11th August, 2011. Compiled by: Michael Moore.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
