Situated in a low-lying, level landscape. This is a raised circular, overgrown area (diam. 30.5m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 8.5-9.5m; int. H 1m; ext. H 2.4-2.6m) and a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 8.5-11m; Wth of base 4-5m; D 0.6-1m). An outer bank (Wth 3-4m; ext. H 0.7m) survives SSE-WSW, but there is no visible entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
