What is recorded here

A house and two cabins are depicted on a Bateman map of 1717 at Kilmore East, then a part of Ballyhander townland (NLI: ms. 6148, 15). They are at the S end of the townland, on the S side of a bog that is the source of a small W-E stream. They remain unlocated. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 30 September 2011

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
