Located in a low cliff-face on the NW-facing foreshore on the E side of Tramore Bay. Described in 1989 as a layer of heat-shattered stones in a black clay matrix (L 13m; max. T 0.95m) at the junction of the glacial till and the overlying sand (SMR file). Only a short section was visible (L 1m; T 0.7m) in 2008, however, in 2022 a length of c. 6m was visible (T 0.58m), with a shell midden (WA027-025003-) partially overlying it to the S and extending southward.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
