What is recorded here

Located E of Tramore, in the N face of sand dunes along the N side of Burrow Island, in an area where the grass covered on the dune has been eroded. Other middens (WA026-066----; WA026-086----; WA026-092----) have been identified along the N face of the dunes on Burrow Island. This midden consists of a thin layer of shell (L c. 8m; D 0.1m) c. 3m above the level of the beach, identified and reported by Carolyn Howle Outlaw. The shells are mostly cockles and periwinkles, with some oysters.
