Situated at the top of a SW-facing slope overlooking Ballyscanlan Lough to the SW, in pasture with rock outcrop in the vicinity. The Comeragh Mountains are visible to the W. This is a green-coloured stone (dims. 1.2m x 0.7m; H 1.1m) with a rectangular cross-section and oriented E-W.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
