What is recorded here

An octagonal sandstone font (ext. dims. 0.75m x 0.75m) with a circular, round-bottomed basin (diam. 0.46m; D 0.3m) is now kept outside Dunhill RC church. It may have originally come from the medieval parish church of Dunhill (WA025-044003-). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore. Date of upload: 20th May, 2011.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
