What is recorded here

Situated on a gentle N-facing slope of a broad plateau. Overgrown subcircular area (dims. 36m N-S; 29m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (at WNW: Wth 6m; int. H 1.6m; ext. H 1.4m) SW-NE, which is incorporated into a field bank elsewhere, with a slight outer fosse (Wth at base 2.5m) SW-NNW. An entrance at NNE is probably modern. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore. Date of upload/revision: 16th May 2011.
