Located on a slight SW-facing slope. Subcircular grass-covered area (dims. 48m E-W; 41m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4-5m generally but 7m at NE; int. H 0.75-1.2m generally to 3m at NE; ext. H 1.75m). A modern gap (Wth 13m) at ESE may incorporate the original entrance, but there is no visible fosse.
