Situated on the floor of the upper Araglin river valley, at the base of a gentle NW-facing slope. Circular heather-covered cairn (diam. 4.9-5.1m; H 0.4m) defined by eight kerbstones (L 0.2-0.4m) which rise above the cairn. An outlier (dims. 0.8m x 0.2m; H 0.6m) is 38m to W, with a second outlier (dims. 1m x 0.25m; H 0.8m) 90m to E. (Moore 1995, 206, 209-10, 221-3, 242, L6) This monument forms part of the national monument complex at Coumaraglinmountain (National Monuments (Preservation) Order No. 4 of 1996). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
