Marked as a fulacht fia on the 1927 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and sitauted in pasture towards the head of a small N-S valley on the E bank of a small N-S stream. It is not visible at ground level, but archaeological monitoring (95N0069) of forestry works c. 20m to the SW on the other side of the stream in Ballykerin Upper recorded some displaced burnt mound material. Burnt mound (WA022-031----) is c. 140m to the NNE. (Pollock 1995)
