Situated in pasture on a low-lying landscape. A field that is known locally as 'Bán na gCnamh' - the field of the bones - (Power 1952, 217) is reputed to be a burial ground. The field can be identified, but it has been extended into several neighbouring fields. Although ploughed, there is no evidence of burials.
