Situated on a knoll of rock outcrop on top of a hill. The possible parish church of Kilcaragh (WA018-011001-) apparently had no graveyard according to J. O'Donovan writing c. 1840 (O'Flanagan 1929, 11), which would be most unusual. Nothing is visible at ground level in pasture. (Power 1890-91, 478)
