What is recorded here

Situated on a gentle E-facing slope. Identified in centre-line testing (05E0763) of the alternate route of the N25 Waterford city bypass (Russell 2008b), and excavated completely (E3443) as Bawnfune 5 during 2007 (O'Hara 2010f). A thin scattered mound of burnt stone (dims. 13.75m x 10.65m; max. T 6cm) overlay a subcircular trough (dims. 1.2m x 0.94m; D 0.3m), a subrectangular trough (dims. 2.4m x 1m; D 0.52m) and seven small pits. All features were filled with elements of burnt stone. A C14 date of cal. BC 1890-1690 was derived from the subrecatangular trough. Burnt mound (WA017-133----) is c. 100m to the ENE. (O'Hara 2009b; O'Hara and Ginn 2011i) O'Hara, R.
