What is recorded here

Situated on a knoll on an E-facing slope with the S-N Ballymoat stream c. 200m to the E. An overgrown circular area (diam. 26.5m E-W) is defined by an earthen bank (at E: Wth 3.4m; H 1.3-1.5m), which is incorporated into a field bank SW-NW. The entrance (Wth 1.8m) is at SE, but there is no visible fosse. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 23 December 2008
