What is recorded here

Situated towards the top of an E-facing slope at the head of a small NW-SE valley. A local stone with a rectangular cross-section (dims. 1m x 0.45-0.6m; present H 1.2m) is oriented N-S. The top has broken off and now lies beside the stone. If complete the total height would be 2.45m. Standing stone (WA016-112----) is c. 100m to the N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 22nd December 2010.
