What is recorded here

Marked as an oval embanked enclosure (dims. c. 45m N-S; c. 30m E-W) on the 1840 ed. and as a circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 40m) on the 1926 ed. of the OS 6-inch maps. On the 1840 ed. it is marked as conjoined with the possible ringfort site (WA016-016----) immediately to the W. Situated on an E-facing slope, it is not visible at ground level in pasture. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 23 December 2008
