In wet uneven ground at the foothills S of the Comeragh Mountains. It is currently within a forest plantation. There is another burnt mound (WA015-116----) c. 70m to the E. A very low mound (dims. c. 10m N-S; 9.5m E-W; min. H 0.2m) identified in section in an E-W forestry drain and visible as a very subtle mound N of the drain. It is composed of fire-cracked stones and charcoal-rich soil beneath the sod.
