What is recorded here

Excavated (98E0575) as Area 19 of the N25 Kilmacthomas re-alignment. A rectangular structure (dims. c. 15m NNW-SSE; c. 6m E-W) is defined by a discontinuous slot-trench (Wth c. 1m), which is almost entirely absent on the E side. It is cut by two NE-SW ditches, and it has no hearth or any internal features apart from four pits (diam. c. 1m; D 0.1-0.3m) at the N end. A sherd of Waterford B ware was recovered from the slot-trench, suggesting a 13th century date. (Tierney 2008) Compiled by: Michael Moore. Date of upload: 17th December, 2010.
