Excavated (00E0197) as Area 28 of the N25 Kilmacthomas re-alignment. Situated on a slight S-facing slope with a N-S stream immediately to the W. A D-shaped spread of burnt mound material (dims. c. 30m NE-SW; c. 20m NW-SE) extended beyond the road-take to the S, but contained the core mound (dims. c. 15m x c. 3m; H c. 0.15m) and its trough, an oval pit (dims. 2m x 1.45m; D 0.5m) that had been re-cut. There is some evidence of metalworking (WA015-097----) in the vicinity, and the pits (WA015-101----) are c. 70m to the SW. (Tierney 2008)
