What is recorded here

Situated on a shoulder of a S-facing slope. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 39.5m N-S; 39.4 N-Sm) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-4.5m; int. H 0.5-1.2m; ext. H 1.4-1.8m) best preserved at N and S, but reduced to a scarp (H 0.5-1.4m) S-W. An external fosse (Wth of top 4.5-7.4mat; Wth of base 2m; D 0.4-1m) survives W-NE accompanied by an outer field bank (at N: Wth 3.2m; H 1.3m) NW-NE. There is an entrance (Wth 2.5m) at ESE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
