Situated in rough pasture on a gentle SE-facing slope in the upper Tay river valley. This is a small kidney-shaped, heather-covered mound (dims. 7.5m x 6.4m; H 0.2m) of burnt stones adjacent to a NW-SE stream. It is within field system (WA014-040----), and fulacht fia (WA014-040002-) is c. 85m to the NE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).
