Situated on the floor of the NE-SW upper Araglin river valley with the ravine of the river c. 50m to the N. A grass-covered, kidney-shaped mound (dims. 9m E-W; 5.8m N-S; H 0.3m) was open to the N where there was a trough area (dims. 2.4m x 1.8m). It was removed in 1994. A fulacht fiadh (WA014-033005-) is c. 50m to NE. (Moore 1995, 196, 217, 241, F6) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
