What is recorded here

Marked as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 35m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a plateau or shelf on a gentle S-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 38m NW-SE; 36m NE-SW) defined by a low bank (Wth 3.3m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.8m) NNW- NNE and by a slight scarp (H 0.3m) elsewhere. It is slightly curtailed by a NW-SE road fence (L 14m) at NE. There is no visible fosse or entrance. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Waterford' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 27th July, 2010.
