From: Bradley, J., Halpin, A. and King, H. (1989) Urban archaeology Survey of Waterford City and County, 2 vols. Unpublished report commissioned by the Office of Public Works. vol. 2, 277. Graveslab 13th/14th century. N. wall of the nave of the Franciscan church (WA009-005032-). Tapering sandstone slab with a very defaced surface set against the N wall of the nave. It originally had an incised fleur-de-lys cross with a marginal inscription in Lombardic lettering. The slab was re-used and an incised two-line Roman lettered inscription ws added to the top end of the stone: PECSE (?ROOT) / SA WY (/XI), (Power 1894-5, 217). Date of upload: 24 August 2010
