The parish church of St Patrick's (WA009-005024-) with references dating from 1468 has a subrectangular graveyard (max. dims. c. 75m E-W; c. 40m N-S) defined by part of the town wall at W, high walls at N and E, and railings at S onto Patrick St. There are some architectural fragments in the graveyard, but no medieval or post-medieval graveslabs. A ringed cross (WA009-005074-) which was found in the graveyard is now kept in the present St Patrick's church. (Bradley et al. 1989, vol. 2, 249)
