Archaeological testing (01E0859 and )1E0860) uncovered a group of four pits. One was oval (dims. 1.84m N-S; 0.7m E-W; D 0.3m) sealed with a stone-based hearth (dims. 2m N-S; 1m E-W). Nearby were three pits filled with oxidised clay and charcoal. (Wren 2003, site 2)
