Situated at the edge of the floodplain of the River Suir with the W-E Kilbunny Stream 30-40m to the SE. The Romanesque parish church of Guilcagh (WA008-010001-) is within a small rectangular graveyard (WA008-010002-). A 16th or 17th century effigy of a bishop (dims. c. 0.75m x c. 0.4m) with the inscription S. MONNIA EPISCOPS was in the church and is now missing (pers. comm. M. Cahill, National Museum of Ireland).
